or are they same interface???

Hi,
the controller is the physical interface. A T1 has 24 channels.
The interface se3/0:0 is the first B-Channel out of 24.
Bye

Hi jgross,
Thanks for reply.
so if we have se0 interface which is this
B-channel?

Hello,
the controller defines the physical parameters, like framing and lincode, and D-channel Protocol, ... .
After you have specified the contoller you will find a corresponding serial interface in the configuration.
This is the D-Channel of the Interface used to exchange control information.
In Europe we have E1 Controllers, with 30 B-Channels to transfer data at 64kBit/s, and one D-Channel to exchange control information.
So there is not only one B-Channel.
E1 Interfaces have 30-B Channels, T1 have 24 B-Channels.
The D-Channel in Europe is in the middle, so it is numbered interface serial2/0:15.
The B-Channels are numbered starting from 0.
So the status of B-Channel 0 can be displayed with
show interface serial 2/0:0
B-Channel No 1 can be displayed with
show interface serial 2/0:1,
up to
show interface serial 2/0:23, for T1,
or
show interface serial 2/0:30, for E1
... .
Bye
Jo
