Vlan1, as shown in the output below, is getting close to 1 Gbps and i'm worried that it will start to drop packets. I know that physical interfaces have a speed limit of 100 or 10000 but what is the limit of a virtual interface (vlan1)?

There shouldn't be any (by default) bandwidth limit on a VLAN interface.
A VLAN interface's in and out bandwidth would be the aggregate of all the interfaces (on same device) that are part of the VLAN.
