Hi there,
We have just installed 2 x 3750X stacks on our LAN. From a functional point of view all is well, but I have a worrying issue when configuring the switch and how it impacts performance. Also, the speed of the interface is slow via VTY generally, when compared to some of our edge switches (3560, 3570, 2960)
I set up a ping to the HSRP address shared by our 2 stacks (10.30.12.1).
I telneted to the same address and went into globl configuration mode.
I copied the following config in
Int range gi3/0/3-4
description **part of EC to Blade Switch**
speed 1000
duplex full
no shutdown
channel-group 4 mode desirable
UKSSYSSW002#conf t
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
UKSSYSSW002(config)#Int range gi3/0/3-4
UKSSYSSW002(config-if-range)#description **part of EC to Blade Switch**
UKSSYSSW002(config-if-range)#speed 1000
UKSSYSSW002(config-if-range)#duplex full
UKSSYSSW002(config-if-range)#no shutdown
% Authorization failed.
% Authorization failed.
UKSSYSSW002(config-if-range)#channel-group 4 mode desirable
What happens is that the first few commands run through OK, but then the application of both duplex full and the etherchannel settings timed out.
I use TACACs so the timeout was to do with command authorisation. I have had this a few times on both of the 3750x. Maybe I am filling some buffer up??
I do not think TACACs is the issue as all of our schedule of Cisco kit is on TACACS and I do not have any issues with it.
The results of my ping to the HSRP address are below, note the timeouts. I am connected to an edge switch for my VTY session.

Further bit of info - this is the show log entry, but I have seen others for some of the commands entered,
so it isn't isolated to the 'switchport nonegotiate' command.
