Where Did the Command Go?

I recently accessed a switch and attempted the "show switch" command. It acts like the command doesn't exist.

Why would I receive this result? Are there some switches that don't support the command?

Thanks,

J

you may have limited access to device set up by admin or security team.  you can do that on any Cisco device with CLI but better way it is using access server RADIUS;  Access is granted and restricted per your username.

edit: "show switch" command applies to stack-able switches; not all are.

Hello,

what switch model/type are you talking about ? If you have an SMB (e.g. 350/550) switch, they don't run a full IOS, so not all commands are available...
