2021-10-07 13_51_48-$.pngWhen i tried to ping the pc on 1.2 from pc 1.1, it works fine, i get a reply and 0% loss

but seeing the color of the cable on Fa0/1 just making me confused (even after i used the skipped time feature), does that mean it isn't fully connected? What if i tried to set this kind of topology in real life, does it still work?

Hello,

the port that is orange is blocked by STP, because without it being blocked, you would have a spanning tree loop.

Issue the command:

show spanning-tree vlan 1

on Switch1, ad you will probably see FastEthernet1 as BLK (blocked).

Hi,

orange color port on STP blocking state. that port will not send traffic unless STP change its role to designated.
