Why these Catalyst 6880-X-LE port channel interface errors?

Device: Catalyst 6880-X-LE

VER: (c6880x-ADVENTERPRISEK9-M), Version 15.5(1)SY8, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc3)

SYMPTOM: TenGigabitEthernet1/5/10

Received 17768 broadcasts (17650 multicasts)

     0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles

     73307705 input errors

TenGigabitEthernet2/5/10

Received 331315 broadcasts (331313 multicasts)

     0 runts, 4691 giants, 0 throttles

     159842905 input errors

ALSO: These ports are in a port channel. The port channel configuration has been confirmed as healthy (full, duplex, and timers)

QUESTIONS: Whys are these errors caused?

What is the next troubleshooting step?

the input error with giant this may be because of other side of link use MTU higher than 6000 side.
check that.

but what about the other port with no giants, would that also be affected by the MTU setting?...

clear  the counters and see how fast they increasing :

how is the utilisation of the port ? is this only 1 port / port-channel  or all interfaces ?
