Hello,
I will understand why we have too much "infinite" with dhcp in a network ?
Router don't release these infinite binding adress.
Router#show ip dhcp binding
Bindings from all pools not associated with VRF:
IP address Client-ID/ Lease expiration Type
Hardware address/
User name
14.77.83.4 001c.b323.98f9 Infinite Automatic
14.77.83.8 0100.1cbc.534b.36 Nov 26 2008 03:26 PM Automatic
14.77.83.67 0100.18dc.b63f.de Nov 26 2008 03:28 PM Automatic
14.77.83.131 001e.c24e.a82d Infinite Automatic
14.77.83.251 0021.e99e.417e Infinite Automatic
I will understand why client who leave network give use "infinite" adress .
I do many test to do "infinite" without reply. No way to create "infinite".
Any idea ?
Thank and best regards.
Seb

To delete an automatic address binding from the Cisco IOS Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) Server database, use the clear ip dhcp binding privileged EXEC command.
clear ip dhcp binding {address | * }

Hello.
Thank you for your reply.
I know this command, but I'd like to know why we have "automatic infinite" and why they stay.
Best regards.
