Dear Experts,
It is a design related question. I am going to setup a LAN infrastructure.
Access Layer: Cisco 3750X series switches with LAN Base IOS
Distribution Layer: Cisco 6509 Switches with VSS-10G supervisor
Core Layer: Cisco 6513 Switch with VSS-10G supervisor
Wireless LAN controller Module (WS-SVC-WISM-1-K9) is also installed in Core Switch 6513.
I am planning to configure Wireless VLAN in the campus, such that there will be around 40 Wireless VLAN.
The doubt is, if i configure ROUTED ACCESS LAYER environment (3750X switches as Layer 3 Switch) and run OSPF, is it possible to use Wireless VLAN infrastructure.
This is becasue i learned from Cisco Support engineers that,(even i did one installation also), for Wireless VLAN infrastructure, VLANs has to be extended from acc ess switch to Core switch, as WiSM will be created with AP Interface mapped to User VLAN, that are configured in Access switch
Can you please shed some light on this and clarify
Thanks in advance,
SAIRAM
