Hi All,
I faced a case with switch high CPU usage, around 70 %. Case had solved after I issued "ip multicast-routing" command.
The following is the background.
There are about 10 SVI interface with "ip pim sparse-dense-mode" on this switch (Core).
But I forgotten to issue "ip multicast-routing" at the beginning.
But my question is: Why this switch without "ip multicast-routing" at the beginning would cause the high CPU issue?
Thanks

Hi,
It is hard to tell why multicast routing is causing high CPU. Most likely a bug in the version of IOS you are running. I would open a ticket with Cisco TAC, so they can investigate the cause.
