Hi I need to use a SG 220 where 2 pc's will manage 20 robots. The robots must be on the same subnet and the switch cannot connect to any other network as it will be used only to connect the robots. The switch is on standard configuration. PC1 and PC2 can ping the switch's standard ip 192.168.1.254. They can also use a browser and get in the switch administration page. When i try to ping the pcs from the switch , no response. I cannot ping between the pcs. The firewall is closed on both PCs. I would need some hints on what is missing, Pcs are on the same subnet 192.168.1.0 as the switch. I tough that there was no required config for traffic to be free on the switch itself
Any idees so I can progress would be appreciated.

Hi,
Besides the PCs being in the same vlan and subnet as the switch, there may be a windows firewall on the PCs blocking ICMP traffic.
So, you may want to make sure that the windows firewall is not blocking ICMP.

The original post is 2 months old and I am not sure whether this is still an active issue or not. But in case it is still active I have some questions and suggestions:
- Can you verify that in the switch configuration all access ports are in the default vlan?
- from the switch attempt to ping both PC and then check the arp table on the switch. Does it have arp entries for the PCs?
- from each PC attempt to ping the switch and the other PC and then check the arp table. Does it have arp entries for the switch and the other PC?
