Hi, I need to activate license on switch 4500, this switch was purchased with some license but not sure whether IPbase or LANBase, could we get information from below output that which license has this switch come up with and how to activate it. Currently switch showing " no valid license"

Hi,
By default all switches come with at least one license. In your case it appears that the license has been removed. If you already have a license file on flash for Lanbase, re-install it, if you don't have one, you may have to open a ticket with TAC to get the fine and installed it.

It seems there is no license in flash, do we need to pay cisco again to get license

Hi,
So, it depends. If the sup came with Lanbase and you want to install Lanbase again, there should be no charge as you already paid for it when you purchase the sup. Now, if you want to upgrade to IPbase, then there is charge for the license.
