I Check out the below link for information on %SYS-3-CPUHOG on switches
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/iad/ps397/products_tech_note09186a00800a6ac4.shtml
" CPUHOG at the Time of an OIR
CPUHOG messages are common at the time of an OIR, because the router has to perform a set of complicated and relatively long tasks. There is no need to worry about CPUHOG messages that occur during OIRs, as long as the card that was inserted comes up properly. "
Cisco said "there is no need to worry ..." but in my case the Switch hangs and after 4 or 5 miniutes it restarts.
i upgrade the IOS version to the latest but i still have the problem.
any help plz
thank you

Does the problem go away if you take the SFP module out?
What type of device is this?

Hi,
Can you try a different SFP?
Is this a Cisco SFP optic or from a 3rd party?

Usually, Traceback messages indicate memory issue. So, you can upgrade to a later version of IOS and see if the message disappears. If that does not help, open a ticket with TAC and RMA the switch.

I tried to upgrade to 150-2.SE3 but we still have have the issue.
1. You DO NOT want to load 15.0(2)SE3 unless you really want to cry. Avoid this particular version at all cost. Major TACACs bug!
2. I recommended 12.2(55)SE7 and nothing else.

Hi Leo ,
i tested the IOS version 12.2(55)SE7 , but we have still the problem
I suspect a hardware issue.
Thanks
