Hi TEam,

Please guide WS-C2960X-48FPS its a POE switch or POE plus Switch.

I have check data sheet but not sure its poe or POE plus switch total 740W showing.

For reason I want to Use Polycom IP phone (8800 IP conf.) to this switch,Polycom team is saying stand alone Phone work on POE but if you add an addition Polycom Visual+ unit and want this powered via the Polycom Trio 8800 then you will need a PoE+ switch.

Please guide & suggest

Regards,

Sachin

All Cisco Catalyst switches now support PoE+ (30.0w).

However, the minimum standard is PoE (802.3af).  Look at the model number.  See the "F" and then the "P" at the end?  "F" means full power and "P" means PoE.

This means that this 48-port can guarantee PoE (802.3af or 15.4w) to all 48-ports.  Should PoE+ (30.0w) is required then it will on a first-come-first-serve-until-full basis.  The switch can support a mix power draw of 15.4w or 30.0w until the PoE allowance of 740w is consumed.

Does this help?
