WS-C3508G-XL and Cisco 1000 Base-T GBIC WS-G5482

Hi all i just need to know if a ws-g5428 will work in a ws-c3508g-xl

i need to setup copper up link from a ws-c3508

i cant work out from the cisco site some doc"s say yes some say not supported

The matrix found in the link I've posted will tell you what is the minimum IOS but there's no harm in using the WC17 as there are more features compared to the old one.  Please try to avoid using the XU.

It's supported as long as you have the correct IOS.

just put iso wc-17 at lease it see them

all i need to do now work out how to get to work when i plug something in it wont come up

Hi all can someone point me to some white pages on how to config these interfaces so i can use a pc and linksys  SD 2005 10/100/1000 in that port

i can only get to work if i plug a server in to it

fix it got a new switch
