Hi all,

I'll install this L3 switch for a remote office. Does anyone ran into some bug or problem with this code?

So far POST is ok.

Cisco IOS Software, C3560 Software (C3560-IPBASEK9-M), Version 15.0(2)SE2, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

I've got about 2 units of these PLUS >30 of the 3560CG-8PC.  All of them are running 15.0(2)SE2.  No problem encountered.

Just in case, all my switches are running PoE and 802.1X.

Forgot to mention that I have about 100 stacks of 2960S and all of them are using 15.0(2)SE2.  No problems either.

So I'm trying to  upgrade my WS-C3560-8PC-S.  I see you installed 15.0(2)SE2.  When I go to software upgrades, I see software for 3560-C, which I don't think is the same.  Is there still software on cisco web site for this old WS-C3560-8PC-S?  or is it gone?

The firmware for the 3560-8PC is no longer available for download.

Actually, when I go to the Catalyst 3560V2-24PS Switch, software, I see the same software that is on my existing 3560, c3560-ipbasek9-mz.122-55.SE12.bin, except mine is c3560-ipbasek9-mz.122-53.SE2.bin.  I would think I would be able to upgrade to c3560-ipbasek9-mz.122-55.SE12.bin, and even to c3560-ipbasek9-mz.150-2.SE11.bin using this software, and long as my dram as flash are ok?  Thanks.

Depends on the size of the flash of the switch. I don't have a v2 to verify but if the flash is <16mb then the "highest" version to go to is 12.2(55)SE train.
If the flash is 32mb then the "highest" version is 15.0(2)SE train.
Either way, download both IOS (if possible) because Cisco will be removing the files from being downloaded in the next few months.

Yes, you are right.  I had the 32 flash and it worked.  Had to delete old ioss to make room, so I was a little nervous, but it did work.  First I had 2 ioss, 12.2.53 and 12.2.55 and booted to 12.2.55 and it worked.  Then deleted both 12.2.53 and 12.2.55 to make room for 15.02 ipbase k9, and it worked too.  Thanks for all your comments on here.  Very helpful.  BTW, these are WS-C3560-8PC-S, that I put this ios on.
