Hello,
I am trying to deploy a couple of new Axis P5625-E PTZ cameras, which the data sheet says requires POE+. The datasheet also says "Camera consumption: typical 9 W, max 20W." These are connected to a WS-C3750X-48P that is a member of a 4-switch stack. Both cameras are showing a message on the web UI saying "Not enough power for both camera and pan tilt motors." The output of a "show power inline" shows that only 15.4W is being provided. I noticed on the 3750X data sheet that to provide POE+ at 30W per port, either two 1100WAC power supplies or one 1100 and one 715W power supplies are required. Since the switch I am using only had a single 1100W power supply, I added a second 1100W yesterday. I bounced the ports for both cameras, and no change. I reloaded the stack last night, still no change. Is there any other configuration required to get the switch to provide POE+ power, or is there something else I may be missing? See below for additional relevant output from the switch showing the two ports that the cameras are connected to:

Hi;
Use LLDP protocol to provide the power to Axis Camera. Normally Axis POE+ PTZ cameras not getting proper power via CDP.
Switch (config)# lldp run
Switch(config-if)# end
Switch# show lldp
Thanks & Best regards;

This solved my issue with an Axis Q3708-PVE.
Thanks!

Note that we also required a firmware update on the Axis POE cameras in combination with LLDP.

This worked for me. Thank you!

Good information, I will try that. Have a Sony SRG360SHE camera that won't power up.

Hi, did you get your Sony SRG360SHE camera to work? The camera's Ethernet port lights come on, but that is all that happens. I've tried the solution listed above, but it did not resolve the problem for me. Thanks!
