WS-C3850-24XS-E comes with 24 fiber port or do I need to order network module seperately

Hi,

I have requirement of 24 port fiber tengig switch and I opted WS-C3850-24XS-E switch now I am confused do I need to order 3 C3850-NM-8-10G=  network modules or the device comes with 24 fiber port and only I need to order 24 GLC-LH-SMD SFPs.

Inshort  do I need to order network module or not?

Hi

No you don't there 10GB switches , as per doc there SFP+ which is 10gb ports , 24 x 10gb

My question is very simple is the switch WS-C3850-24XS-E comes with 24 port sfp+ slot or do I need to order three C3850-NM-8-10G= so that I can get 24 tengig port.

so to get 24 tengig port do I need to order which one from the below two options

in the post above ive shown you don't need the module 24 x 10gb ports

these are standard 10gb per port switches the X series

There 1 GB SFPs yes going into 10GB ports with the SMD  , that SFP is supported so your ok if that's what your using, there 10KM SFPS are your other devices that far away ?  , either way here's exactly what's supported on that platform in sfp

If you are looking for 24 SFP ports, you can buy:

WS-C3850-12S-E

WS-C3850-24S-S

WS-C3850-12S-S

All of these models has SFP ports only and you can include a module of 4 SFP more.
