Hi all,

I want to confirm the PSU of the chassis WS-C6509-E is faulty or not.

So my question is, by look at the system alarm, its confirmed that the PSU is failed: -

environmental alarms:
system minor alarm on power-supply 1 power-output-fail (raised 15:52:23 ago)
NAME: "PS 1 WS-CAC-6000W", DESCR: "AC power supply, 6000 watt 1"

NAME: "PS 1 WS-CAC-6000W", DESCR: "AC power supply, 6000 watt 1"
PID: WS-CAC-6000W , VID: V05, SN: DCH1539Y010

but somehow the PID and SN number in show inventory is still shows up.

from my experience if the parts is faulty, the PID and SN shouldn't shows up. am I right?

I just want confirm this log system is valid or not.

Please advise.

Thanks,

Hafiz

Replace the PS first and then check again.

 - You may want to have a look at the led-status indicators on the power supply. Usually a failure will be visibly indicated.
