I need to refresh three 6509 chassis (non-E) along with the Sups. I am looking at these two sups:
WS-SUP720-3B vs VS-S2T-10G
Can anyone provide some feedback to assist in my decision making process? Pros? Cons? We are not using VSS and don't have any plans to do so.
Thank you,

The VS-S2T-10G is only compatible with the E series chassis so you cannot use it without a chassis upgrade:

The WS-SUP720-3B would work, or you could use the VS-S720-10G-3C if you need 10gb ports on the supervisor card. Note these both require the High Speed Fan and a 2500 watt power supply

Benjamin's right. You can only use Sup720 in a non-E chassis.
But don't even consider the Sup720-3B because Cisco just announced the End-of-Sale for this particular supervisor card.
