I've got 4 interfaces bundled between my switches. when I check the show int counter error, xmir-err is too high on those interfaces on one side. I've checked all interfaces on both sides and they are all configured full duplex, 100mb/s, I also have no buffer errors on the individual interfaces when I run show interface.

As I understand xmir-err is likely due to speed mismatch but the port-channel wouldn't be up if there was a speed mismatch( I have gigabit on one side and Fa on the other side though).

Is it something that I should be worried about? I have some devices on the switch with fa ports that stop working randomly, and I have to disconnect, reconnect them again to get them working (not sure if this is related to the errors), also some users connecting to that switch complain about performance and that they get better speed on wireless than LAN.

Let me share what I know about this issue may be it help you
there is buffer for each interface
ingress and egress buffer,
this buffer divide according to QoS, where each class take some space in this buffer.

NOW
what this lead to
using port channel need some kind of balance which is hash, and hash depend on source and destination.
what if all source and destination hash lead to one specific interface of port channel ?

Now the problem become worse when this interface have small buffer size for specific Class of traffic.
this make buffer full and tail drop and low performance.

when you do any change remember to clear counter to see the effect of change.

Speed Mismatch !!!
where the speed mismatch is it in ether channel between two SW ? NO
the Speed mismatch is between the Port/Interface
when the packet arrive from Server which connect to 1G and must send to other SW, the buffer of interface of Etherchannel is full because it use 100 M not 1G.

I Know we have two or three or more port in ether channel but hence the speed still same, when the hash will be select one port to send traffic it will used it Speed which is 100 M.
so solution as friends suggest is
increase the SoftMax to be 1200 time bigger than it.

if this solution not solve issue then friend we must consider change the speed.
normally the speed is low in access and it increase in connect between access and aggregate SW.
