About IP/VC 3511 upgrade

I downloaded a new version off ip/vc 3511 software (v4.0.31) and ip/vc 3511 emp (v.3.0.5). When I upgraded the version v4.0.31 was ok, but when I upgraded the version v3.0.5 for emp, I received the following message error:

Upgrade process failed : The SW target type is unknown.

Anybody known the problem ?

The 3511-E has 2 ip addresses one for the MP and one for the EMP... You need to specify the IP address of the EMP not the MP.
