Just upgraded SX10 from TC to CE code8.3.x the start screen has 3 simple buttons call, share, messages.

I was wondering if possible to add one that would launch into our WebEx CMR without having to start from the directory.

Thanks

Your only option is start the call from the directory, it's not possible to add custom buttons to the touch panel to control the codec at this time. If you want to customize the Touch 10, you can use In-Room Controls, but it requires the use of a third-party control system such as Crestron or AMX. The control system will receive the button press from the Touch 10 and if programmed to, can send a call command back to the codec to dial out.

This can be accomplished using macros introduced in CE9.2.1, see CE9.2.1 Macro Framework discussions.

If we use In Room Control to create a button on the DV-10, and use an xAPI to start the codec begin call function, wouldn't that complete the initiative?   We want to use an email "name" followed by our in-house name command string for WebEx calling, which should result in calling up the alpha numeric keyboard under the call button, entering the email name, then touch a newly created button like "WebEx Call"to start the codec processing the call and connect.   Can IN ROOM do that??  Or would we have to use an Extron SFI244 to generate an ASCII command string in RS232?
