Hi everyone, I have an ATA 187 running version 9-2-1-0 with Call Manager System version: 7.1.5.33050-1.- here's my issue
In the ATA187 configuration page under ‘Protocol Specific Information’ I’ve selected ‘Media Termination Point Required’ in order for the ATA187 to receive and pass DTMF tones from outside callers to the analog phone it is connected to.
When a VoIP phone within our network dials into the ATA187 and the numbers on its key pad are pressed the DTMF tones are not being passed on by the ATA187 to the analog phone it is connected to.
In order for the ATA187 to receive and pass the DTMF tones to the analog phone it is connected to I have to select ‘RFC2833 Disabled’ under ‘Protocol Specific Information’ in the VoIP phone configuration page.
Without having to modify over 6000 VoIP phones- how can the ATA187 be configured properly in order to receive and pass the DTMF tones from VoIP phones and outside callers?
