C20 Standby issues

Hi All,

We have two C20 codecs running TC7.3.4 software.

Standby setting is manually set to "on" (with 10min timeout) but it always reverts back to "off"

There are no persistent settings on the TMS that would cause this change so I don't know why is it happening.

Another strange thing, when standby option reverts to "off", it happens that system goes into a standby in the middle of a call(recording playback from TCS).

Any help appreciated.

Regards,

Petar

Do you see anything in the logs that might be setting the standby option to off?

One thing I might do as a last resort is factory reset the codec, and start with a clean configuration, that is if I can't find anything other possible reason to explain what is happening.

From the logs, changes that I made:

2016-03-22T11:14:01.514-04:00 ppc appl[2771]: 87403.97 CuilApp User admin(1001) successfully changed configuration 'Config/Standby/Control' to 'On' from 10.1.81.117.

After this I did nothing. Logged out and logged in this morning to see that standby is disabled.

Next log entry shows the following(nothing between 11:14:39 and 16:06:06):

So, am I ready to factory reset the codec or is there something else to try?

Thanks.

Obviously standby isn't being turned off by TMS, otherwise it would show it's IP listed as it did when you changed it from the web interface.  I'd try the factory reset.  Also, was the endpoint ever managed by anything else, for instance CUCM?

Never by anything else except TMS.

I will perform factory reset and see if it helps...

That very much looks like something is using the API on the endpoint to change the setting.  Are you sure that the system isn't interacting with some other sort of control system (Crestron / AMX / etc) that could be changing the setting?

That is something that is currently being checked with the contractors, as the room control system is also implemented.

Didn't do factory restore until we check all other possible causes.

Thanks for the suggestion.
