Anyone have issues with missing release key this after upgrading to TCNC7.3.9.b938c8e. Cisco license gave me the release key, but when I asked how to install the release, they had no idea how to. The email instructions don't make sense for the C40...

Sorry, part of the command didn't copy and got cut off, the full command is:
xCommand SystemUnit ReleaseKey Add Key: <release_key>
I just tested it, and it works on a C40 running TC7.3.9.

Starting with TC6.1 and later, release keys are no longer needed for software upgrades. It's not possible to add release keys through the web interface if running TC7.0 and later, but if for some reason one needs to be added, you can add it via the API.
xCommand SystemUnit ReleaseKey Add

Doesn't work in web api (Configurations > Api > Execut API commands and configurations)_
In putty I finally got:
OK
*r ReleaseKeyResult (status=OK):
** end
But my vtc is still a brick with the same error...

Good day sir, when you put in that you installe tc and not tcnc that gave me the hint to install that update instead. That was the fix, thanks!

Glad you got it working.
Regarding TC vs TCNC, it's the same software, but TC supports encryption, whereas TCNC doesn't.
