c40 software upgrade

Nicholas Holum

I have two c40 endpoints that are running TC6.1.1. Is there an upgrade path to get to the latest release?

Also, my TMS is telling me that the most recent release is TC6.3.0. However I am seeing 7.0.1 on the c40 downloads page. Can I upgrade straight to 7.0.1 or should I go incrementally?

Hi Nicholas,

I think that the last uploaded software on the TMS would have been TC6.3.0 , due to which it would be showing only upto that version.

You can download the current software from the link below and either upload it directly on C40, or first add it on TMS and push it to the codec from there-

Thanks Nikita!

Just to clarify, you think it's okay to jump from 6.1.1 to 7.0.1 ?

Hi Nicholas,

You sure can upgrade to the latest version as it is has fixes to many known issues, however being a new release, there would be some unknown behavior associated with it.

You can refer the release notes for the resolved and open caveats. This would help-

Hi Nicholas,

Yes, you can go straight from 6.1.1 to 7.0.1, there is no need to go through any intermediate steps/versions.
