There's a (pretty old) document in the forums (here) with links to files that worked for me with a C60, so should work for your C90 too.

Dear Wayne,

the file you have attached are version specific or they can be used with any version.

I am in  the same situation.

also can't see the images.please find the attched.

Any more suggestion please.

thanks

The looks very much like you have no TC software installed on your C90.

Do you have the C90 software downloaded somewhere?  ie the TC7.1.4 (s52000tc7_1_4.pkg)?

If so, you'll need to have it on a TFTP server where you can upload it as described in the document I previously linked using the following commands (where 123.456.789.012 is the IP address of your TFTP server):

  • setenv serverip 123.456.789.012
  • setenv tftp_path pkgfile
  • setenv saturnpkg s52000tc7_1_4.pkg
  • run pkgex

If you don't have the software, you can get it from the Cisco web site (with a CCO login ID).

If you just want a version to get your device up and running, and you don't have a CCO login ID, you can get some of the older versions (up to TC6.1.0) from the Tandberg FTP Server.

Note: it's also highly likely that you'll need to re-enter your release key (and option keys) once you have it up and running again as it's likely, given that the flash is looking very empty, that any previous config is also missing.  You can get the release key for your device from the Cisco License Portal - select "get Other Licenses, Tandberg License to Resend, and then enter your serial number - or, if you don't have access to there, you should be able to request them through the TAC.

For access through the TAC for both the Software and Release Key, if you don't have an active service contract on your device, this Security Advisory may be of assistance: http://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20140605-openssl.

Hi Clark,

Can you please provide more detail as to where in the process previously linked you're getting the failure.

I'm only guessing at this point by looking at your screen capture, but if it's part way through the boot process, you may have faulty flash and would need a hardware replacement.

If that's the case, you will need an active service contract on your device to organise that through the TAC.(and having a quick look on the licensing portal by the system board serial number, it's not currently covered by one - it's showing as TERMINATED).

Dear Wayne

Thanks for the reply

after copying file from tftp when it boots it fails

but if it's part way through the boot process,

yes, after copying software  it boots and it stucks " kernel image not found"

yes i have a service contract for the replacement, but i need to confirm from you experts that it really dead.

thanks

I'm still not sure where, and at which step in the process, you are seeing the failure...

Which step in the document (https://supportforums.cisco.com/sites/default/files/legacy/9/2/9/123929-TFTP%20file%20transfer%20using%20the%20Cisco%20TFTP%20server%20v1.docx) are you striking the problem at?

What is the last command you type before it doesn't work?

Can you post more of a capture of all the steps you have done before the error / reboot?

Dear Wayne,

I am wrong the things are not failing after copying but they are failing while copying

As you see the  hashes (######)  which i post in previous post, these hashes are those which are showing the copying stage of TFTP after executing the command  run pkgex.

while copying if you see it comes to one point

Is it this becz of any error in PC,software, tftp not allowing to copy the file from TFTP ???

thanks

Can you see in your TFTP client whether the whole file has transferred, or if it is only part of it that has gone?  (I usually use Pumpkin TFTP and can see the file transfer progress).  Another thing you can try would be to change the block size in your TFTP client (agan, only if the one you're using supports doing this).

But, to me, what you're describing looks very much like a faulty device that'd need to be hardware replaced via the TAC.
