Hello all,
I recently acquired a C90 that came out of a T3. It's running TC6. I can't connect TC Console to it. Should I be able to??
I'm getting an error, something about product ID not recognised. Any ideas?
Thanks
Kieron

Kieron,
That would be the correct behaviour for the TC Console software. The codec PID has to match a certain pre-defined list to allow the TC Console to connect. The C90 you have most likely has a PID of "TANDBERG T3 Center" or something similar instead of "C90 Codec" or "C90 Integrator Codec"
Unless you can get Cisco to re-PID your C90 you are out of luck

Thanks Justin!
So is there any way for me to customise my screen layouts and audio routing without using TC Console?
Or even better, do you know anyone who might be able to help me with that?
My email is kieron@presentcommunications.com
Thanks again

Kieron,
You should be able to use the TC Console in offline mode. Build the layout you want and then either extract the code and execute it manually on the codec, or manually upload the XML file it produces to the codec manually. However, there could be a chance that the PID limits what command are available for a T3 C90, never really looked at it. It could be that all the layout commands are hidden with that PID, in that case you would have no option.

Hi Kieron,
Did you manage to get the PID changed? I also have a C90 out of a T3 and also want to change it so I can get it to register to CUCM successfully. It rejects the config file from CUCM at the moment due to Product ID mismatch.

I didn't manage to change it and use the command line to change most things as I need them. Of course, the C90 resets any changes that I make on reboot so at some point I will write a little script to do this.
Nick, maybe it's worth comparing notes at some point?
