Calls from 9971 to MSE 8420 failing when Encryption Required

I am making calls on following path: 9971 -> CUCM 8.6 -> SIP Trunk -> VCS 7.2 -> MSE 8420.

Calls complete when MSE 8420 conference config is set to Encryption Optional. Calls fail when MSE 8420 conference config is set to Encryption Required. Is this a setting issue on CUCM or VCS?

The CUCM zone on VCS is TCP. Needs to be TLS? If so, how should following be set?

• TLS verify mode
• Accept proxied registrations

Hi William.  Do a check on the VCS X7.2 deployment guide for creating the sip trunk between CUCM and VCS.  Few things to do to get the trunk between the two to go active.  Plus I do believe CUCM must be running in mixed mode to support it.

Page 28 for the CUCM side. Also verify MCU is registered as TLS also.
