CEC on SX10

Anyone knows how to configure an SX10 to enable the latter to wake up/send to sleep a Samsung TV (in our specific case a UE49MU6405U)? Or how to configure the said TV so that it wakes up/goes to sleep as per the SX10's instructions...

 

Looked everywhere for an explanation as to why this is not happening but haven't found anything conclusive so far.

 

nb: both codec's and the TV's firmwares are up-to-date

AFAIK the only thing you would need to do is to enable CEC on the endpoints HDMI output configuration, this will automatically trigger the SX10 to send a wake-up command via CEC.

 

To send to sleep happens when the TV stops receiving video from the endpoint (once it goes to stand-by) and it does it automatically.

 

If this doesn't work then it could be that the TVs CEC is not a compatible version as every manufacturer has its own and it called different. The CEC actions can be reviewed on the log bundle of the endpoint, this will at least show if the endpoint is trying to wake the TV up.

You need to make sure that your SX10 is connected to an HDMI port on your Samsung display that supports CEC (or Anynet+ as Samsung like to call it), and that it's turned on in the configuration of the TV and SX10 (by default CEC is disabled on the SX10).

It's also recommended that you are running at least software version CE9.3.0 on your SX10 as there were a number of fixes for CEC on the SX10 in that release to make it similar to what is available on the RoomKit series endpoints.
