1. Problem: ICD silent monitor down due to Cisco Desktop VoIP monitor server won't start

2. Service manual start error: When manual start the service, gets the following error: Could not start the Cisco Desktop VoIP Monitor Server service on Local Computer. The service did not return an error. This could be an internal Windows error or an internal service error.

3. Window event error log:

Source: Cisco Desktop VoIP

Event ID: 5

Description: FCVMS112 splk_pcap_open_live{} failed. errorBuf = Error opening adapter. Access is denied.

Note: I run IPCC Express 3.5(3)

Please help.

BTW: Will it be 2nd NIC dummy IP configuration problem, or do I need to enable 2nd NIC and put a dummy IP?

Thanks

Voice monitoring and recording are features of the IP Integrated Contact Distribution (ICD) Cisco Supervisor Desktop (CSD) client. These features allow a Supervisor to silently monitor and record an agent phone call. Silent monitoring is a term used synonymously with voice monitoring. It refers to the ability of a Supervisor to monitor agent phone conversations without being heard or without the knowledge of the agent. The recording features allow the Supervisor to record, save, and play back calls from their CSD.
