Cisco IP phone 9971 registration on a vcs control

Hello,

Can sombody please confirm is it possible to register the cisco ip phone cp-9971 on a cisco vcs control server directly. If possible , I appreciate any guide or document for that. I have a vcs control on x7.1 .

Hi Binesh,

Registration of cisco phones are completely different with the process how a normal sip/h.323 endpoint register on VCS

when cisco phone register it looks for TFTP to get the firmware, which obviously is not available with VCS. Other important part for 9971 phone registration are CTL file and other parameters which are not available with VCS and hence what you are trying is not possible.
