CME on 1841

on this router i have advanced enterprise 151-4 and i'm starting to do my research on installing CME on the router.

according to the matrix i need 8.6, but the tar is close to 200 megs or more.  i only max out at 128 meg flash if memory serves me right. 

btw, my 1841 is 256 ram / 128 flash 

can i extract, and tftp the files i need and make it work that way? at most i am only going to use a 7941 or 61 at best.   its more so for labbing and eventualy i want to do a crypto back to my work and bypass CME alltogether so i have an office phone at my house

1841 doesn't support voice features. CME is already included in IOS. You can start simply use this command:

router(config)# telephony-services setup. But probably it doesn't work on 1841.

well that is no fun!

i have a 2600 and a 1760 as well, would those support voice?  i'm pretty sure the 1760 does becuase you can only throw in vwics on the right hand side.

What type of 2600 do you have? Voice on old platform like 2610 is problematic.

All works fine over 2620 or 2621 XM.

Also 1760 is ok for voice.

i'll stick to the 1760 then. 

i have a 2621 thats oddly cased in a 2611 (the board and firmware respond as an 2621) 

but it only has 8 meg flash and 32 dram, but it does have a 8 bank dialup NM

the 1760 i think is 32/64  i'll have to bump that up i suppose either way.
