I'm doing a deployment of CMS with an on-prem Skype for Business deployment. When their users are off network, they use Microsoft's "Direct Access" technology to register SfB back to their internal network and make video calls to other on-prem users.
Currently, the following scenarios work fine:
- on-prem SfB to/from CMS
- On-Prem SfB to/from "Direct Access" connected SfB
However, I can't get CMS to Direct Access SfB to work. The call establishes but there's no media, CMS just shows a timeout error.
I can't find documentaiton on how the media path is supposed to work in this scenario, I could only find info on external SfB clients registering "natively" over Lync Edge.
In this instance I'm using a single combined deployment with Expressway Edge as both SIP traversal and my TURN server, however the call establishment appears to come from the internal Lync FE server rather than via Expressway, as there's nothing in my search history.
Any ideas?
