We are currently running CUCM 6.1.5. I proposed our organization to upgrade our system to 7.x or 8.x. But am asked the best and standard cliche question " Give some good reason to upgrade and we will do it" Can anybody justify the reason why to upgrade our system for 7.x or 8.x? I would be really thankful and i hope, it will be useful to many if anybody can give the brief comparison of features and merits of these Versions.
Thanks & God Bless you all..

CUCM Data Sheets are a good place to know about new features introduced in each version :

For example, SAF (Service Advertisement Framework), video phones and IME are some of the new capabilities introduced in 8.x

Arun has a great surgestion as a first place to look. Some other quick things, 7.x supports E.164, 8.x has the features already mentioned plus built in phone VPN, and EMCC (Extension Mobility Cross Cluster).
