I want to configure a CPL script that will limit the number of concurrent users based on Zone registrations.
Has anyone completed this before or is there an example of the script that I need to write

Hi Peter,
As I understand, you need to restrict the number of concurrent calls in VCS and you plan to do that by using CPL. Is my understanding correct?
If yes, unfortunately, as I mentioned previously in another thread, VCS doesn't provide any mechanism to count the number of active calls and then limit the calls after reach a certain value. You will really need something out of the box to achieve your need, maybe a custom external call policy server, just like I suggested in the other thread, take a look:

I do see you really need to have some feature in VCS that allows you to limit the number of concurrent calls, maybe something applied to a specific subzone or search rule. As VCS doesn't provide this feature at this moment, I would suggest you to go ahead and raise a feature request. Contact your Cisco representative, he can help you with that matter.
I also suggested you a "not perfect method" to control the number concurrent calls based upon bandwidth limitation, this is the only thing you have inbox, in VCS itself:

I hope this help
