Hello,
Our end customer have noticed that from time to time the display is frozen on one of their Tandberg 95 MXP unit without any reason. They have replaced the video cable without success. Is there any bug about this behavior?. Could you please advise?.
Thanks
Eric

Some more information on the circumstances and the equipment being used would be helpful.
What software version are you running? What call control platform (and version) are you using? What is the device at the other end of the call? Is it just the video in call that is freezing, and if so, does the audio still work? What call type are you using (H.323 or SIP)? Are there any firewalls between the endpoints? The more information you can provide us, the better we may be able to assess the issue and point you in the right direction.

Hi Wayne,
Thank you for your message. In the xstatus log file provided by our customer from the Tandberg unit, we can find Version: "F8.2 PAL".
No problem noticed with the audio, it's working fine, just the video display is frozen from time to time. When our customer restarts the unit, the video display works fine until it frozen again. They are using H323, no firewall between the endpoints.
Kind regards,
Eric

F8.2 could be your problem - that's a VERY old firmware version (May 2009). We had many interoperability problems with versions below F9.x (late 2011). The latest version is F9.3.3.
If you have an active service contract on your device you should be able to download the new version of the software from the cisco web site (and retrieve the release key from www.cisco.com/go/licence).
If your device is not covered by an active service contract you should be able to contact the TAC and reference one of the recent Security Vulnerabilities (ioe CVE-2014-2161) and you should be able to get a software upgrade and licence key from them.
