We were told by Cisco tech to have our outside DNS SRV records updated by our ISP for traversal calls to work. We also saw in the pdf something about our inside DNS SRV records. Our inside calls (movi, endpoints) work just fine. Do they need to be updated for the Expressway traffic or are we good to leave it alone since in works?

Hi Jeremy,
which PDF are you referring to?
DNS SRV records are normally only required externally, as they are used by your own external clients/endpoints and remote parties for locating your VCS Expressway.

Hi friend,
You just need to create SRV recods internally when you deploy provisioning with E20.
With regards external, you need create those SRV records only if you want your system to be reached by name instead IP Address. For example, if you have those records, your remote user will be able to dial room15@example.com. Without SRV recods your user should dial room15@200.x.y.z, for example.

Jeremy,
I would also like to add that it is quite common to create DNS SRV records internally in deployments where you have one or more clusters of VCS's, especially if these clusters are to be used with provisioning. For clusters of VCS's, DNS SRV records are often used to ensure registration load balancing across cluster peers for endpoints which support DNS SRV lookups for registrations.
