I was testing Cisco_Meeting_Server_2_9_7_vSphere-6_5.ova on both ESXi 6.5 and vSphere 7.0 U3. We noticed that the IP address of the guest OS was not being reported to the host vSphere/ESXi even though the appliance had successfully pulled a DHCP address. We were looking at using automation to provision the appliance after it's been imported, but we rely on the IP address reported by vSphere to be able to figure out how to communicate to the server; without it, a full non interact installation is not possible.
I was wondering if the absence of guest IP address in the vSphere/GUI is expected behavior, or if this was fixed in a later version of CMS.
