Does anybody know if CISCO has made any statements in regards to H.265 on the 8710 MCU blade or the equivalent VM MCU?
I can't see my organization replacing all of our codecs with H.265 hardware but if I had an H.265 capable MCU then I could at least use that to allow my older C series codecs to talk to other H.265 capable systems through a locally connected MCU.
I connect our older codecs to our local 8710 to to talk to endpoints that support clearpath (FEC and LTRF) and was thinking something similar with H.265 could be a good bridge until the older codecs are upgraded.
