Hello,
I noticed a weird issue with REM's video. When we use standard H264 codec, there are lot's of output queue drops on access switches, to wchich a jabber client is connected. The number of drops is enormous, and the video quality is very poor. Streams are around 800Kbps. However, when I switch to VP8 codec, although streams are 2.5Mbps, there are no drops and the quality is perfect (HD). Regardless of QoS settings, if I have exactly the same configuration on the access port, why there are drops for H264? Is it related to more frequent I-Frames in H264 and more often microbursts? Any ideas? I tried to google the difference between the two codecs regarding internal opetation (presented in a simple form, not academic lecture with detailed calculations :-) ), but no luck.
Best regards,
Krzysztof
