Hardware specification for MSE 8710

Hi folks,

One of our customers is asking me about some hardware information of the blade MSE 8710. I wasn't able to find this information on the current documentation, can anybody share this with me?

These are the hardware specifications that I am looking for:

  • Numer of processor:
  • Number of virual CPUs:
  • Amount of memory:
  • Number of disk:
  • Amount of internal storage

I am aware that those information are no required to deploy TP Server, of course, but the customer is one of the greatest finantial institutions in Brazil and thay have a different process to insert new servers in their data center, they don't allow us to do that without sending those informations.

Thanks in advance.

I would ask my local Cisco rep about that. If he wants to sell it he shall answer ;-)

Besides that you can at least specify the SD card size in the supervisory blade.

further I would ask how other appliances are handled, also like power-switches, serial-consoles,

kvms ... guess they have the same  issue.

Besides that: n/a is always an option to answer. I do not see that it really applies.

As you asked explicitly for 8710, what did you answer on the supervisory blade and the rectifier chassis? ;-)

Hi Martin,

Thanks for your tips. As you suggested, I guess the only option I have is to contact Cisco.

I already asked the customer about how they handle another equipments, like you mentioned, but it seems they demand this kind of information only for blades and servers, they have a different policy for another equipments.

Regarding the Supvervisor, they didn't ask me anything, fortunately. It seems they are aware that a supervisor is just a supervisor, at least.

Thanks again.
