HDMI output drops during a call

We are using a Cisco Telepresence MX300 G2 unit. It has a HDMI output. When the Cisco is connected to a laptop PC via a VGA cable and the HDMI is connected to a video projector, the image on the Cisco screen is successfully reproduced by the projector. When a call is then initiated, we lose the image being sent to the projector via the HDMI output port/cable. How do we keep the HDMI image active. Thanks. Duane

You might just need to hit the "Share" button on the touch screen.

Alternatively, mMaybe the in-call resolution is different to the at-rest resolution, and the projector can't display that resolution?

Try logging into the MX300 G2's web interface and manually setting the resolution in the Video > HDMI output section, rather than leaving it at "Auto".

Thank you - that did not work. The Share button merely passes any data but not the video portion of the call. Tried changing ALL resolutions; no video. Is it possible that the Cisco MX300 cannot do what we wish, i.e., create/use a p[rojector or even another MX300 as a "slave" video screen during a call. Duane

Do you want the presentation displayed on the projector during a call, or the video conference?

What is "Video Monitors" set to, see pg 110 in the MX300 G2 Admin Guide.

Hello Mr. Sparkman. Would like the video conference displayed on the projector. Will check the "Video Monitors" settings as you suggest according to page 110. Thanks. Duane

It might be the HDMI output doesn't support mirroring of the main screen, whenever you have an external monitor connected it might only be meant to expand the system so you can have dual screens where the far-end is on the MX screen and the presentation is on the second.

I think you are correct. Our MX300 Video Monitor was already set to "Auto." Maybe this option does not exist for the HDMI output. Thank you for answering.
