If you do a search in these forums for SX20 Standalone, you will see a whole bunch of posts that describe how to configure a SX20 and the firewall ports required.

One good example is this one: SX20 Standalone

Hi,

Is it possible to schedule a reboot of SX 20?

Thank you,

Steven

There is no way to schedule a restart with the just codec, as it doesn't have the capability to do it on it's own.

If you have TMS in your environment, you can setup a persistent configuration template to restart the SX20.

If you do not have TMS, then you can use a 3rd-party application to connect to the SX20 via telnet or SSH and use the following API command based on the software type the codec is running:

  • TC software: xCommand Boot
  • CE software: xCommand SystemUnit Boot

The only other option would to periodically connect to the codec manually and restart the codec using the API or through the web interface.
