How to factory reset a Tandberg MXP1700?

I'm with the DoD and we have a Tandberg MXP1700 that we have to factory reset prior to deposal. Unfortunately I do not have a username, password or IP address for this unit. I do have a serial cable that I can connect the unit with a laptop. Would appreciate an assist.

The command is: defvalues set factory.  Don't forget to write down the Option and Bandwidth keys before you perform the factory reset, as the reset will clear everything from the codec, including the option keys.

Glad you were able to reset the codec, don't forget to add the Option and Bandwidth keys back after the factory reset, so it can be used by someone.

The 1700 MXP went End of Support on 28 February 2017, so I personally wouldn't recommend that it get redelpoyed anywhere, and therefore wouldn't bother adding the keys back on to it.
