What data are you looking for, and what is the new application are you referring to? You don't give much information as to what you're looking to do or have planned.
All the data contained within TMS is stored in a database, called tmsng either located on the TMS server itself or an external SQL server depending on how it was setup. For the VCS, the data is stored in an internal database, you can backup/restore this data under the Maintenance menu.
Suggest you look at the TMS Guides and VCS Guides, they are a good place to start to learn more about the products you have.
