How to mass import address into directory for SX20?

A customer is migrating from Polycom HDX7000 to a new SX20. He has a large list of addresses that need to be migrated to the new SX20.

is there a way to create a text file that can be imported directly into the SX20?

and if yes, what would be the format and type of this file?

any help will be great! thank you very much!

You can import them into the SX20 pretty easily, an import will overwrite any existing contacts on the endpoint, so you'll need to:

Export the current phone book.
Add the new contacts to the saved file.
Import the edited file back to into the endpoint.

An example of this can be seen in this thread, managing-local-contacts-tc7-endpoints, note he wanted to delete his entire phone book in a single go, but it uses the same concept/process as the steps above.
