Hi ,
I have two VCS expressway in a cluster with version X8.8.2 running currently. Iam unable to login with the root password on one of the VCSE but i can login with the admin account on both the devices. How can i change or reset the root password via SSH through admin account. Appreciate your support.
Regards
Javid Hasan

You'll need to reboot the VCS. As soon as it prompts for a username,
enter:pwrec
It will prompt you for the username you wish to change the password for.
Enter: root

No you cannot do it from SSH. Have to do it thru VM Console or serial connection.

You can execute passwd command from root login to change the password.

Is there any other way or possibility to reset the root password other than connecting via a serial connection as i have the admin password for VCSE running version X8.8.2
