ISDN Gateway to Telepresence Server

Team,

We are implementing an 8321 ISDN gateway and Telepresence Server MCU (MSE8000 Chassis) in a customer environment. In the past we have used a 4500 MCU and all incoming ISDN calls were forwarded to the MCU IVR where you are prompted to enter the conference ID. Simple and easy.

I see the ISDN Gateway has an IVR (auto attendant) that will perform a similar function asking the user to enter the destination IP address. It does not look as simple/easy as the previous solution.

What options do we have for inbound ISDN calls when using a TS server? Is there a simple method for doing this? What is required?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Paul!

You should be able to dial e164 numbers in the IVR. With the right serch rule on the VCS

this should hit your TPS. An other option could be dedicated dial in numbers from ISDN

so you can direcly match it to a URI or to use (legacy) the IPGW, so you could use even

a text based, tms driven phone book. I really liked the IPGW, to sad it was retired.
