Hi Ritchie,
Requirements for the Whiteboard Microphone
The whiteboard microphone is used when a person at the whiteboard is speaking. It allows participants to be heard while they are presenting.
The whiteboard microphone must fit the following characteristics:
- The microphone must be omnidirectional (wireless or corded) and have a minimum frequency response of 100Hz to 10KHz (+/- 3dB).
- The microphone must include an adjustable preamp with a gain knob and power supply (maximum input voltage +3dBV).
- The output line must use a 3.5mm TRS connector to connect to the Host CPU codec.
Figure 5 illustrates a sample whiteboard microphone.

- The whiteboard microphone should be approximately 8 feet (2.44 meters) from the floor, and approximately 18 inches (46 cm) from the whiteboard.
